Having grown up the son of a fourth-generation farmer in West Tennessee, hard work & integrity are some of the core values Waymon brings to his clients every day.
After business school, Waymon began his career with First American National Bank in Nashville, starting as a bond trader and then moving into management. After obtaining his Chartered Financial Analyst designation (CFA) in 1990, he then joined Robinson Humphrey/Shearson, Lehman Bros. where he worked extensively with Institutions and High Net Worth individuals.
Waymon has since joined Baird, and for the last 20 years, has solely advised clients in a multitude of markets, with a constant focus on wealth planning, specific objectives, and risk tolerance for clients, all of whom are different.
At Baird, an employee-owned firm that was founded over 100 years ago, the focus of Wealth Management is Investment Consulting, Advanced Planning, and Relationship Management, with the specific needs of the client always in focus.
Waymon attended High School at McCallie in Chattanooga and then went onto play football at Vanderbilt. True to his roots, Waymon married a native Nashville girl while in Business School. He and his wife have 4 grown children, 6 grandchildren, all of whom are exceptional.
Waymon is very active in his church and local community, having served several non-profit entities. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, golfing, hunting, fly fishing, and playing with his grandchildren.
